Day No. 76: I ran at along St. George Island this weekend. I tried to run further, but it was so hot there. There are no trees to shade you, and the pavement on the road began to burn by my ankles. I was amazed I managed four miles.

Over the last 24 hours we have been receiving some form of radio contact, albeit broken up with static, and very hard to understand. But from what we can ascertain, it is coming from deep within Everest!

Is it Gary Ericson? Is he calling for help? Has he found the Yeti and is trying to report back? We must get back to the mountain!! We must track the source of these communiqués

Three Weeks to Expedition Everest Challenge

Counting down to the final three-weeks, Disney has now posted the 2010 Expedition Everest Challenge map. The journey begins in the Butterfly Lot at Animal Kingdom and races through Animal Kingdom for a 5K run with obstacle courses blended in to make the run more interesting. Upon completing the run, we will enter phase two, the scavenger hunt. This is a series of clues that will have to be completed in the correct order to complete the challenge. Only 18 days left!

Day No. 74: Today I started the 5 mile run at 8:30 a.m. I was hoping it would be cooler, but the hot Florida sun was already blaring. I think the humidity mixed with the sun constantly over me made today's run seem endless.

Day No. 75: I tried to push the run earlier once again. Today I started at 7:30 a.m. with the hopes that it would be far cooler, and it was for about 15 minutes. After that, the sun was up and blazing above me. It was far easier then yesterday or even the previous Saturday's run.

Expedition Everest Clue #1

A Message from Base Camp:
Gary Ericson is lost!!!! He has been on the great mountain tracking the legendary YETI. There has been no communication from him since the day of the great deluge, September 26th, 2009, now known as the “storm of the century”!

Everyone from his elite Y.E.T.I. expedition team returned home, but Gary Ericson, persevered and forged ahead. At what cost? What has happened to our fearless leader? Has he found the Yeti? Or worse, has the Yeti found him?

We must organize a search and rescue mission for this brave and heroic adventurer!! Meet the team on June 12, 2010 at Base Camp Fury 242 for instructions and inspiration. It’s once again time for Expedition Everest!!!
